Well, it's that time of year to give you all a rundown of the awesome minis in the Charity Army Raffles for 2016! First up we're going to take a look at the infantry in the Ork army painted by the Artists Consortium - Da Bad Moon Skwadron.
This army was designed to be a riff on an air force, with two Dakkajets, a control tower, a mob of Deffkoptas, a mob of crazy jets (counts as Nob Bikers), and an awesome ground crew.
These first two mobs of 20 Ork Boyz each were painted up by newcomer to the team, Joel Moon. Joel is perhaps better known to many of you as Mordian 7th, from his excellent blog (HERE).
Veteran team member AJ Taflan helped us out this time around with this mob of 10 Boyz.
And another new member of the team, Greg Hess, busted out these Grotz. Greg is also hard at work finishing up the best darned Deff Dread you have ever seen! You can check out Greg's Blog HERE.
Ken Webb has been on the team from the start (I think), and he painted up these wonderful Stormboyz. There are 15 Stormboyz, including a Nob with a wicked Power Klaw, plus the awesome Zagstruk!
Max Dubois, another veteran member of the crew (from Hellfire Painting Studio) painted up this Weirdboy for us, along with an excellent Battlewagon that we'll see in the next installment.
And they don't get more veteran than Chris "Jawaballs" Dubuque, who painted up this second Weirdboy for us using the new Orruk Warchanter. We liked this guy in particular because his two raised bones could be used as light wands to wave the Dakkajets into their hangars : )

Nice painting! Even if they are filthy xenos -_- Bring on the beakies dammit!!!!
ReplyDeleteI really like the look of this army. However why does the squad of 10 boys look different paint job then the rest of the army. It's almost like its missing a wash.
